The General Moore is the official game day advertising vehicle for Capehart & Washburn, LLC.

The “General” was created in the summer of 2008 by Mountaineer fans and Boone natives, Matthew Long, Phil Washburn, Daniel Wilson and Johnny Bower. The General Moore is a tribute to coaching legend, Jerry Moore of Appalachian State. Coach Moore has built the Mountaineer Football program into a perennial national power. Coach Moore has been at the helm for the past 21 years and has lead the Mountaineers to 3 National Championships (2005, 2006, 2007). Coach Moore, thank you for being a great leader on and off the field in this community.

The General Moore made its’ maiden voyage to Baton Rouge Louisiana in August of 2008 when the FCS National Champion Mountaineers opened the season against FBS National Champion LSU. The General Moore has appeared in the ASU Homecoming Parade and has made every home game since it’s debut. The General Moore has a Facebook page and will be back on the streets next fall for the 2010 season.
